Baba Haider Zaman warns PM over Seraiki province issue
ABBOTTABAD: Tehrik-e-Sooba Hazara chief Sardar Haider Zaman on Thursday asked Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani not to confine himself to his hometown Multan while working to create the Seraiki province and stop ignoring the demand of the people of Hazara for a separate province.
Speaking at a press conference, he said the Pakistan Peopleís Party-led government was meting out step-motherly treatment to the people of Hazara. He said the premier should remember that the people of Hazara had even sacrificed lives while demanding a separate province.
Creation of Seraiki province before Hazara province would not be tolerated. The day Seraiki province is formed would be the first day of civil obedience by the millions of Hazarawals living across the country,î the elderly Haider Zaman warned.
He asked the prime minister not put to test their patience. He said they had raised voice for Hazara province when no one was talking about Seraiki province.“After tabling a resolution in the National Assembly for creation of Seraiki province, we believe the Parliament has turned a deaf ear to the demand of the people of Hazara,” he argued.
